Please be gentle

• Avoid foaming products that strip your skin and leave you with that ‘squeak clean' feel.
• Don't rub your eyes when you use a face cloth or when you are removing makeup.
• Avoid scrubing your skin daily and when you do BE GENTLE. Slow circular movements or compressing actions are ideal.
• If you wear makeup daily, then you must double cleanse to ensure complete removal. Makeup residue will just cause congestion.
• Make sure your make up is free from Nano particles, bismuth, corn starch, talc and other ‘fillers'.
• If your skin is inflamed and sensitive at times avoid tap water and try filtered water for some time.

• Double cleansing ensures the removal of daily grime and makeup residue – so often the cause for congestion, blackheads and other skin concerns.
• EVOHE cream cleanser applied on to dry skin is an excellent makeup remover. It won't leave a greasy residue because it is based on a light emulsifier which is pH neutral with your skin.
• Follow your make up removal with one pump of Foam wash to remove any residue and your skin will feel soft and clean. It won't feel ‘squeaky'or stripped because our foaming agent is based on olive oil which is pH neutral with your skin.
• Avoid harsh foaming products which bubble up. Even the “natural”alternatives to SLS can quite often strip the skin.
• If you enjoy using a facecloth try a hygienic soft bamboo cloth instead of a traditional towelling washer.

Sensitivity

• More and more people are suffering from skin sensitivity and there are a number of combining factors that can contribute. Diet, Hormones, Stress and Environmental are all part of the equation.
• Research that we have done at EVOHE indicates that avoiding products with Glycerine can also reduce sensitivity.
• Using filtered water to wash your face during periods of inflammation has also be known to help.
• Be aware that all of your hair products can cause reactions elsewhere. A basic castile soap is a better option over products which contain the new alternatives to SLS. Even these new alternatives are quite harsh foaming agents and can disrupt skin which is already prone to sensitivity.
• Using EVOHE Mist during the day can calm inflammation and both Repair Intensive and Moisture 24/7 provide excellent stress relief. Repair Intensive provides more of an anti inflammatory and antibacterial benefit where the Moisture 24/7 assists the skin by providing protection against environmental stress ie Working in a air con or polluted environments.

Dry/Dehydrated Skin

• Compatible Hydration is the key. Smothering your skin with heavy vegetable/animal based waxes only provides temporary relief from dryness. You simply have to do it all over again the next day.
• The best way to ‘feed' your skin is with oils that are of a similar pH to the sebum which our skin produces. This is why EVOHE products all contain Omega rich oils that the skin can recognise.
• Before you attempt to hydrate you must first ensure that the cleanser you are using isn't stripping the skin or leaving behind residue. Congestion caused by residue and dry flaky skin cells inhibit the hydration of the skin as it forms a barrier. In this case exfoliation or a buffing mask like the EVOHE Silica Mask is the best way to assist with the hydration of your skin.
• If you find that weather or environmental conditions are amplifying the dryness try using the Repair Intensive or Moisture 24/7 in conjunction with the 369 Omega. You may do these under or over the Omega 369. NB: If you use either over the top of the Omega 369 they will act like a form of barrier, locking in the moisture.
• Also note that when the skin's pores are ópen' it indicates that the skin is ‘thirsty'and looking for hydration. Often this is misinterpreted as oily skin and then astringents are applied in an attempt to close the mores leaving the skin only further dehydrated.

Get off the Oily /Dry seasaw

• Often ópen' pores are associated with oily skin. Open pores actually indicates that the skin is ‘thirsty'and looking for hydration. Often this misinterpretation leads to more scrubbing, more drawing masks and astringent toners in an attempt to close the pores. The skin then tries to compensate this stress and stripping by producing more oil. The cycle of dry and oil goes on.
• Because the EVOHE 369 Omega is such a compatible blend of oils we have seen it actually help balance the combination of dryness and oilyness. The Silica Mask is a gentle way to buff away dryness and congestion (often the cause of blackheads) and gives the Omega 369 a chance to give the skin a ‘good feed' thus helping you get off the oily/dry seasaw.

Rosacea

The 369 is a very compatible oil blend which will feed your skin with essential omegas without making it greasy. If there is 'dryness' with the inflammation always combine the Repair Intensive and the 369 Omega. Just play around with how it best suits your skin. Ie just one pump in the a.m under your make up or just half a pump mixed with the Repair Intensive. You may find it works better for you to use the Repair Intensive during the day and the 369 Omega just in the evenings.

Is your sunscreen causing more harm than good?

• We suggest doing your homework on sunscreens to assess wheather you really need to use one on your face everyday. Natural alternatives are available but are often very greasy.
